Welcome to Balham Boxing Club
Balham Amateur Boxing Club was founded by Winston Fuller in 1988. Winston started the club at the back of his cab office on Cavendish Road
Talents were found and the club quickly grew. In 1992 the club moved to a bigger premises Called The Park Tavern pub in Streatham now Called The Furzedown. Balham Boxing club began to thrive but unfortunately after 3 years the Park Tavern had to close so once again Balham Boxing Club was again against the ropes but still fighting. Winston found a new suitable venue known as Hildreth Mews Market. Here the Club found its feet again and successfully trained boxers for a further 3 years. In 1998 developers took over the site Balham ABC once again had to close its doors. But now back in Balham on Cavendish Road where it all started & where we intend to stay. Balham has been off Cavendish Road in the building formerly Known as Triangle Youth club since 2008, We believe that the success of the club is due to it being such a family run organisation all the members of Staff are volunteers and all had previous involvement in the club before being part of the team it is now.
